ChronoPay, one the leading Internet Payment Service Providers in Russia, announces the appointment of Martins Berkis-Bergs as CEO of JSC "ChronoPay." The candidacy of Mr. Berkis-Bergs was approved by the Board of Directors of the parent company ChronoPay Holding B.V. (Holland).
As CEO of JSC "ChronoPay" Mr. Berkis-Bergs will assume operational management of the company, and will take up duties in July, 2011.
Martins Berkis-Bergs was born in 1978. In 2000 he graduated from Higher School of Business Turiba, Latvia, and in 2002 received an MBA in management and economics. Martins has a rich experience in financial services. From 2003 to 2009 he held senior positions in the largest commercial banks in Latvia. Martins Berkis-Bergs joined ChronoPay in 2010. As official representative in Europe he was responsible for business development in and communications with European banks and partners, and recruiting team for European office of ChronoPay. He is married and has two children.
The Management Board of the Chronopay Holding, which is situated in The Netherlands, comments the appointment of Mr. Martins Berkis-Bergs as the new General Director of our company in Moscow, Russian Federation, CJSC Chronopay. Mr. J.B.J. Smit, CEO of the ChronoPay Holding, says: "I am convinced that Martins Berkis-Bergs is the most suitable manager for our company in Moscow. Chronopay continues all operational processes and services
The JSC “Chronopay” entity in Moscow will continue all operational processes and services to our customers. All of the contractual obligations to customers and partners of JSC “Chronopay” will be continued.
The Board of Directors of the parent company, Chronopay Holding B.V., will make the necessary decisions concerning a new model of leadership for the Russian entity.

ChronoPay completely and totally disavows the most recent blog postings and publications alleging a connection between ChronoPay and MacDefender and assures our customers that our company is not involved with MacDefender in anyway, not are we involved with any virus production as has been alleged.
