ChronoPay B.V., the European leader in safe and reliable online payment solutions, has joined the Merchant Risk Council.

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS - ChronoPay B.V., the European leader in safe and reliable online payment solutions, has joined the Merchant Risk Council (MRC). The MRC - a membership association of 6,500 Online retailers, vendors, financial institutions and law enforcement agencies - promotes safe and secure e-commerce by setting practice standards and pursuing new technologies. The vision of the MRC is to identify and support the latest Internet technologies, which will enable e-commerce merchants to guard against fraudulent activity, and positively influence customer perception of Online ordering security, thereby promoting increased Online commerce.

MRC members share the goal of protecting and encouraging Online commerce by establishing best practices for Online fraud prevention. The MRC works with federal and local law enforcement agencies such as the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), Federal Bureau of Investigation, Secret Service, the U.S Department of Justice and the U.S. Postal Inspectors to help catch and prosecute cyber criminals.
