WWF - Looking for More Flexibility and Low Processing Fees

About WWF
www.panda.org

WWF In just over four decades, WWF (formerly known as the World Wildlife Fund) has become one of the world's largest and most respected independent conservation organizations. With almost five million supporters located throughout five continents, WWF's global network is active in over 90 countries. With this vast reach around the globe, the WWF can safely claim to have played a major role in the evolution of the international conservation movement. Since 1985, WWF has invested over US$1,165 million in more than 11,000 projects in 130 countries. All of these projects play a part in the campaign to stop the accelerating degradation of the Earth's natural environment, and help its human inhabitants live in greater harmony with nature.

The Challenge

The WWF was not satisfied with the Internet Payment Service Provider they were using for Online Payment Processing on their global website. Although their Payment Service Provider was well-known in the Web community, there were a number of areas that were unsatisfactory to the WWF. These included:

  1. The processing fees were too high;
  2. There was a lack of customization/private labelling capability in the payment interface. It was WWF's desire that their supporters remain aware that that they are dealing directly with the WWF throughout the payment process;
  3. The limited range of international currencies, which could be processed. As a global presence, with more than 5,000,000 supporters, the WWF site must be able to process in the world's most commonly used currencies.

The Solution

ChronoPay negotiated a fee structure that fit the WWF's requirements. The company also created a customized Payment Form (hosted on ChronoPay's secure server) for the WWF, which allows its supporters to make donations in an environment that is safe and comfortable to them, maintaining the look and feel of the WWF website. Finally, ChronoPay was able to offer the WWF a payment processing solution for one of their projects, which allows for the multi-currency processing it needs.

The Advantage

Because ChronoPay is aligned with an extensive network of acquiring bank partners, it was able to identify and enlist the very best solution for the WWF, while keeping the processing fees at a satisfactory level.
