Q: Do you keep CVV2/CVC2 codes? Can you run transactions without them? I run a membership site and I was a Client of another third party billing company and terminated the relationship they refused to transfer my members to a new company. They did provide me with a list (batch) of my members. However the list did not include CVV2/CVC2 codes, so I can not process the recurring billing with any other biller. A: We don't keep CVV2/CVC2 codes. Generally, we can't run your transactions or batches from another third party billing company as it is prohibited by the credit card companies. However there is something we can do. It is a fact in the industry that if you have been a Client/Merchant with a third party billing company and you elect to terminate your relationship with that biller and move to a different payment processor, it is extremely difficult if not impossible to maintain the continuity of your recurring billing. A legitimate (legal) third party processing company will not store the CVV2/CVC2 codes and some of them will even refuse to provide you with the data they have collected on your Customer transactions. This makes a transition to a new biller virtually impossible, which raises a very interesting and important question: Who actually "owns" your members? This problem exists because of the different laws which govern third party billers in different countries. From a legal standpoint, someone must be "responsible" for each transaction related to each member or buyer of your Website/Product. Based on the laws, which govern ChronoPay we are considered a legal intermediary in the transaction. Although we share responsibilities to a certain degree, we aren't fully legally responsible for your members - YOU are. Therefore if you decide to switch from us to another third party billing company, on a per-case basis, we can give you your transaction data. We will also do our best to negotiate with the credit card companies to insure a safe transfer of the recurring billing. This whole situation is eliminated, of course if you are running the transactions through ChronoPay via your own Internet Merchant Account. If you are switching from your existing billing company to ChronoPay we will assist you any way we can to transition the recurring billing, however it is not guaranteed that we can do it. It is dependent on the laws and the credit card company rules and regulations, which govern over your current third party billing company. Q: Can I become a ChronoPay Agent or Reseller? A: Yes, you can. An agent/referrer is an individual, who resells Internet Merchant Accounts and other ChronoPay services to qualified EU merchants. When an agent/reseller identifies a qualified merchant, he/she refers a merchant to ChronoPay. If that merchant obtains an IMA and uses ChronoPay services, the agent/reseller is paid an initial one-time commission, as well as additional commissions based on the merchant's monthly sales volume.Anyone can become a ChronoPay agent/reseller. However, since ChronoPay's relationships are with EU acquirers, our agents and resellers may only sign-up merchants who have legitimate operations in the EU. Also, please keep in mind that ChronoPay has a number of subsidiaries around the globe, which are developing banking relationships to serve merchants in their geographic regions. We may be able to serve you from one of these locations also. Please contact our representatives at sales@chronopay.com to find more about our Reseller Program.
